From the 5th August, following the wedding weekend, Nicola and Daniella extend an invitation to all guests to join them for an exciting week of festivities in Villa Santa Maria. The village will be celebrating the feast of the Madonna in the Basilica from the 9th to 11th August, featuring a series of events leading up to and during the festa. A trabocco is an ancient fishing structure, commonly found along the southeastern coast of Italy, particularly in Abruzzo. Trabocchi (plural for trabocco) were originally built to provide fishermen with a safer alternative to fishing boats. In recent years, the owners of these trabocchi have started serving local fish dishes, turning them into unique dining experiences. You can eat traditional delicacies such as octopus, anchovies, calamari, fish stew (brodetto), stuffed mussels and squid, shrimp, prawns, and fried seafood of all kinds; all for a very reasonable price.
